Having read that SouthBank - true say. Not pretty reading but cannot argue. Pitiable really when you think of it all in context - and think about what might or may have been. The one constant in all of the sorry tale you relate - is us.

In fact, if anybody ever needed any proof that the only people to benefit from GSB's takeover and handling of the club since have been GSB themselves, look no further than that one fact...
We are still struggling in 17th position (exactly where we finished just after they took over in January 2010) yet we have become the 17th biggets club in the world and the 7th biggest in England.

I'm in agreement with those who say it is the entire "football" club: West Ham United FC.
Seventeenth biggest club in the world, by revenue, according to the Forbes list. Seventh biggest club, by revenue, in England - now by far the wealthiest league in the world.
It is utterly remarkable that we have had the decade, on the pitch, that we have had - and not for good reasons at all.
Ten years ago this season (so 2009/10) we finished 17th out of 20 in in the Premier League - right where we are now - and with a paltry total of 35 points. In other years that would have seen us relegated. That season, the two clowns bought a 50% stake in the club and appointed Mrs MEdia as CExec.
The following season, having parted company with Zola, we finished rock bottom with 33 points under Grant.
With the exception of one season, when we finished 7th under Bilic in the final year at Upton Park, we have been a barely mitigated disaster on the pitch and have made many of the worst signings in the club's history, to go with some of the worst managers in Premier League history.
Yet, off the pitch, the club's value has soared - fuelled by the ludicrous move to the London Sterile.
Gold, Sullivan and Brady have got richer and richer and richer. But the "football" club has stayed absolutely dogshit, by and large - including having to witness years of Hoofball under Ol Bid Ed himself. Now, precisely ten years later, we find ourselves in EXACTLY the same position (17th in the Prem) as when the three degrees (of stupidity) took over.
Next level?
I guess so. Off the pitch. We are the 17th biggest football club in the world, still playing the 17th best football in the Premier League. And in between, we had the joys of Grant, relegation, Fat Sam, Moyes, Bilic losing the plot and players like Modibo Maiga.
During the ten years in which the club has risen to be the 17th biggest in the world, we have had one notable signing who shook up the Premier League - Payet - and he turned out to be a disloyal cunt of the highest order. We've had one good season out of ten (7th place and some great final memories of Upton Park) and the odd good local player coming through (Rice).
As a business, we have had a good decade.
As a football club, we have been a fucking joke.
Huge club now. Still got some amazing fans, especially when compared with other post-96er happy-clappy sterile clubs. But we are fucking joke of a football team, and it has been 40 years since we had a sniff of a major trophy (although I accept Gerrard's half-volley from about 250m did stop us breaking that in 2006).
Fortune's always hiding (if you're not on the board)....

AC was not a player that justified his price tag and his constant injuries were comical and predictable, but he did weigh in with some crucial goals.
The whole decade has been meh. Started it off with a relegation that could have been avoided but they clung on to Grant, then steady, solid but uninspiring football under BFS. The standout season under Bilic followed by endless dithering once it collapsed. Moyes to the rescue and now we are in the same predicament with pellegrini as with Bilic. Add to that the stadium move and yeah it hasn’t been the best of times recently.

I was having a chat with another supporter on the supporter’s coach yesterday about Ted Fenton. To cut a long story short, it’s insane to think that when he became manager in 1950 he was our third manager. Up until that point we had had only two managers within the first fifty years of our history.
How many have the ‘Dave’s been through during the past ten years? Five? Six if you include Kevin Keen as caretaker.

Apart from the odd satisfying victory we've paddled water and had more managers than we've had in the previous 100 years
With the exception of Slav's tenure. I'd have him back in a shot right now. Doing a top job at WBA and has more experience.
